Face-to-face Teaching Philosophy
I believe that every student can be successful when they first have a relationship with adults inside of the school. It is the job of a teacher to meet their students where they are and learn how to support them academically, emotionally, professionally, and personally. Students cannot learn when they are too distracted by their personal struggles. It is my job as a teacher to balance education and mental health. I have a metal health check-in that all students participate when they walk into my classroom. This helps me be more understanding and gives them someone to talk to.
