I agree that a lot of students felt like it took much longer to do assignments at home than it did in class. The students also got frustrated that they could not always ask their questions right then and they had to type their question. I also agree that it was isolating for students and they would hesitate to ask when they needed help. Students struggled to articulate their misunderstanding.

Your emotions of your student being nervous at first, enjoying less work, then becoming bored and less motivated seem very accurate. My students experienced a similar emotional rollercoaster. My students were also used to collaborating in class and I felt like they were more isolated which really increased the amount of students that would not have their camera on or participate when there was zoom classes.
